ACM womENcourage Europe

Call for Participation
The ACM-W Europe committee invites you to attend the first ACM womENcourage conference. Join students, industry professionals, academics and other leaders in computing to promote networking, visibility and technical discussion.
Students are invited to participate by presenting their work during the poster session.
The first womENcourage event will bring together students, early career researchers, and practitioners from the computing profession to present, share and celebrate their technical accomplishments and their experiences working and studying in computing and related disciplines. There will be a mix of technical presentations and discussions of current issues by leading experts from industry, academia, and international bodies.
Student Poster Session
We invite poster submissions of original work by students (female and male) in all areas of computing and related disciplines. As the event attendees will be multidisciplinary, the poster should introduce the precise area in which the work is framed and should also emphasize the original work that has been performed by the student. The institute or group in which the student works should be mentioned in the poster.
Poster submissions deadline: 13 December 2013
Notification of poster acceptance: 3 January 2014
Final posters due: 31 January 2014
Posters should be submitted as a written one-page summary of the work. All posters will be carefully reviewed by our international posters committee. A maximum of 30 posters will be accepted to the event. The selection will be made based on the originality and quality of the work presented seeking for a varied representation of different computing areas. Posters should be prepared in A0 portrait mode. Printed posters should be brought to the conference by the presenter. The one-page summary of the accepted posters and the poster in PDF format will be published on the webpage.
With funding from our generous supporters, we are pleased to provide grants toward travel and accommodation expenses to qualified students in Europe.
